Why I made it
I wanted merch I’d actually wear.
Honestly, that was the whole idea. I wanted the meaning to be obvious to the right people, but subtle enough that you could wear the pieces out without having to explain yourself.
Everything is made to order, so I don’t have a warehouse full of stock. I order pieces for myself too, wear them, and take real photos when I can—like the cap above—so you can see they actually exist and what they look like away from a mock-up.

I don’t keep piles of every size sitting around. Your item is made after checkout, checked and sent directly to you.

My UK fulfilment partner prints or embroiders it. This normally takes 3–5 working days.

They send it directly to you in white-label, plastic-free packaging for clothing orders.
The useful bits
A few things you might want to know.
How should I choose my size?
Use the garment measurements on the product page and compare them with a tee or long sleeve you already like. Measure it flat from armpit to armpit for the half-chest measurement.
How long will my order take?
Production normally takes 3–5 working days. Delivery time is additional and depends on your destination and chosen service.
Is the packaging discreet?
Clothing orders are sent in white-label, plastic-free packaging. The product design is not advertised on the outside of the parcel.
What if something arrives faulty or incorrect?
Contact merch@substandardclub.com with your order number and clear photographs. We’ll investigate it with our fulfilment partner and put it right.
