1. About Us

SUBSTANDARD is a UK-based merchandise store. References to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean SUBSTANDARD. References to “you” and “your” mean the customer.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to place an order.

3. Orders & Acceptance

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy products from us. Orders are only accepted once payment is received and you receive an order confirmation email. We may refuse or cancel an order if we suspect fraud, misuse, pricing errors, stock/production issues, or other legitimate reasons.

4. Made-to-Order & Production

Most items are produced to order. This helps reduce waste and ensures each piece is made specifically for you. Estimated production times (e.g., 3–5 working days) are provided for guidance and may vary during busy periods.

5. Pricing & Payment

Prices are shown in GBP unless stated otherwise. We may update prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed. Payment is taken at checkout via the payment methods displayed on the Site. We do not store full payment card details.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed. Once your order has been handed to the courier, delays may occur that are outside our control (e.g., customs, weather, carrier disruptions). Where tracking is available, it will be provided.

7. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Because most items are made to order, we do not offer refunds for change of mind, incorrect size choice, or preference changes. However, if your item arrives faulty, damaged, or significantly not as described, we will make it right.

• Contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos.
• We may offer a replacement, repair, or refund depending on the issue.
• Normal variations in colour, print placement, and texture can occur between batches and do not automatically qualify as faults.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

8. Size & Product Information

Size guides and product details are provided to help you choose correctly. You are responsible for selecting the right size. If you are unsure, contact us before purchasing.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including designs, text, graphics, photographs, and branding — is owned by or licensed to SUBSTANDARD. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Site or products without written permission.

10. Prohibited Use

• Using the Site for unlawful purposes or fraud.
• Attempting to interfere with the Site’s security, performance, or functionality.
• Harassment, abuse, or harmful conduct toward staff, partners, or other customers.
• Misusing chargebacks or making false claims to obtain free products.

11. Reviews & Privacy

If you leave a product review, it may be displayed publicly. We recommend using a pseudonym for your public profile. Billing and shipping details are never displayed publicly. We reserve the right to remove reviews that contain personal data, harassment, hate speech, or spam.

12. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or losses arising from events outside our control.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version displayed on the Site at the time you place your order will apply to that order.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
